The Five-Biome Mindset
Genesis is easiest to understand as several harsh simulations instead of one gentle starter island. Bog, ocean, arctic, volcanic, and lunar zones each demand different protection, travel tools, and escape plans.
Use biome pages to plan risk before teleporting. The right armor or mount can be more important than raw survivor level.
Ocean Focus
The Ascended version places heavy emphasis on ocean play, including wave behavior, buoyancy, islands, and water combat considerations. Treat ocean exploration as its own progression lane.
Bring breathing, mobility, and recovery plans before chasing deep-water resources or large tames.
Map Planning
Mark safe resource pockets, mission starts, creature routes, and base candidates. The goal is not to memorize every coordinate immediately; it is to build a repeatable travel map that keeps losses manageable.
